What do you do to protect the environment?

We’re serious about the environment, and work hard to protect it in three important ways: 

1. Reducing food waste, 
2. Using responsible packaging and 
3. Minimising food carbon miles. 

On average, Australians throw away 136kg of food per person per year – we are helping to reduce this by supplying food in the exact amounts needed. To reduce food packaging waste we use compostable packaging (much of it home compostable) and re-use our delivery boxes. Much of the food in our major supermarkets travels 1000’s of kilometres before reaching our tables, we focus on local ingredients to reduce transport and the resulting carbon output.
